Guide in Kyoto
Our association is an organization officially recognized by Doshisha University.
Received an award from the Japan National Tourism Organization at the end of March 2024
for contributing to international friendship. We are Japan's only volunteer organization made up
of university professors, lecturers, executives who are working or worked for international companies,
and excellent students who are good at English and have deep knowledge of Kyoto's culture.
You can visit Doshisha University with our guide and have lunch at cafeteria and enjoy chatting
with the students during your tour in Kyoto. We also guide you to Nara from Kyoto.
Guide in Tokyo
We design sightseeing itineraries that meet the individual wishes of foreign tourists visiting Japan, and provide you with a tour of Tokyo that will perfectly satisfy you. At the same time, we offer day trip guides from Tokyo to a wide range of tourist destinations, including Kamakura, Hakone, and Nikko. Our guides in Tokyo are also graduates from Doshisha University and mostly former executives worked for international companies and fluent in languages. Some of us are national government licensed guides. We do not just guide you, but talk about any
subjects about Japan and international affairs icluding economy, culture, education, healthcare systems, politics
to build mutual understandings.

DSGGJ TOUR GUIDE POLICY
EXPENSES
You are requested to pay the expenses for your guide listed below:
1) Travel expenses for the guide from his / her residence. to and from the place where the guide meets you, preliminary research , designing itinerary , and our administration expenses for maintaining our organization (12,000 Yen for less than 5 visitors and 1,000 Yen for each additional visitor. However, 1,000Yen is not added for children 14 years old and under. ) Example: When guiding 7 adults visitors
fee will be 14,000 Yen.
2) Admission fees to temples, shrines, museums, towers etc. Our guides are free of charge in many cases.
3) Transportation charges while in service.
4) Lunch (US $10.00~20.00 ).
5) Other actual tour-related expenses, if any.
OTHER CONDITIONS
1) Liability: neither DSGGJ nor the guides accompanying you are responsible for any injuries, or theft
and / or damage to possessions that may occur during the services.
2) Basic tour hours: From 9:30 a.m. to 17:30 p.m., but flexible depending on your request.
3) Exclusions:
-Overnight tours.
-Tours using private or rental cars / bikes.
4) We do not accept requests from commercial-based travel agencies; however, the group of visitors composed of students, educational or official delegations are accepted.
